I don’t know anything about politics, aside from the fact that I couldn’t care less about social issues and that I tend to get annoyed when people are overly passionate about them.
For example, I know next to nothing about Republican views on money and business; all I hear (from the internet) is how they hate the gays, immigrants, abortion, weed, and seem to be pro-war. Oh, and they are usually white. And rich. And Christian.

That being said, I am all for Donald Trump.

This has nothing to do with his policies, his character, or anything else he might have said. In fact, it is Because I know nothing of politics that I am considering voting for him, which would be my first time voting as a citizen. It is because he was on reality TV and made several cameos on other television shows. Similar to when California elected Mr. Freeze as a governor, I think it is hilarious that Donald Fucking Trump will probably be a serious candidate for our next president.
While every generation cares less and less about the boring details of the country ( unless the issue is something to yell about, of course), the unfortunate fact remains: we are the ones who will elect our leaders. Only the passionate seem to vote, rather than having it be an understood practice as a citizen.
So why do I bother?
We deserve it.
If the majority of the country votes for Trump then we will have taken another solid step towards being the joke of the modern world. It won’t be the end of all humans.
What might happen is the republicans might have control of the house, senate, president, military, economy, supreme court. Subsequently, the school system would deteriorate further, racial and religious oppression will get worse and the social classes will drift further apart.
But I don’t care, it doesn’t directly impact me as a white educated female.
How dare I say such a thing? That’s so selfish! Why would I work to hurt our country?
Because I want the proof that my stereotypes and my theory that the US will be the joke of the UN (generated by skimming random websites) are real.
And most importantly, if we elect someone from TV just because he is famous, it is our fault.
Whatever complaints that are made, whatever happens. I want to be a part of the generation that will be known as the one who elected a TV star as president. I embrace and proudly defend our right to be idiots! And will fight anyone who says otherwise without any solid defense!
Anyway, isn’t that what America is all about?
Trump’s election is probably inevitable whatever I may do. It was always inevitable that we would progress to electing celebrities or other ridiculous people, After all, they rule the internet and the internet rules us. And me.
