Ok I do not want children for a lot of reasons. I have a heritable mental disorder, and I hate kids from ages 1-40. I don’t know how to talk to them, they have too much energy, I cuss too much, and I generally just want to kick them and their tired sad parents who forgot to wear a condom. BUT. I love babies. I think they are the ultimate philosophers: all they do is observe the world without bias or agenda. They find joy in the things I wish children and adults could such as watermelons, grass, paper, and a table.

Also girls are way worse than boys, I have 3 older brothers and they were way LESS of a pain in the ass and of an expense (ECT costs a grand a time and I did it 30 times).

Honestly, the closest I have come to having their innocent awe of the amazing universe is taking mushrooms. I thought about being a surrogate, but instead, once a month I monitor and rock the babies at Dr. Hospital (I am certified in infant care, and baby cpr- so cute you turn them upside down). Anyway just because I do not want kids does not mean I can’t fantasize about names I like.

I should note that 1. I have a family of  about 100 people (10 kids both sides and they all have at least 2 kids and half those kids are having their own kids) and all four grandparents were born in Ireland. We all have the same names- not kidding. every one of us has a name in common with another one of us. I have inherited the family love of Irish names.
